JAEA has constructed Naraha Remote Operation Technology development center in order for Fukushima Daiichi NPPs decommissioning and Emergency Response. JAEA has been developing and operating Emergency Response Remote equipment in case of severe accidents from October 2012. Laser technology has been utilized and in emergency response robots and future laser technologies have been expected.

A fiber-optic probe LIBS technique has been performed for analyzing elemental composition of samples under severe environment such as a high radiation dose condition. Application possibility of remote, onsite/in-situ LIBS as a tool for decommissioning of nuclear power station is discussed.
